YOU ALL WOW. I photographed Cassie and Michael’s engagement photos in Atlanta at some of the coolest locations I’ve ever photographed. The two of them are am-aahhh-zing wedding photographers and when I asked them what they wanted to do for their engagement photos, they told me that they’re okay with anywhere I take them. After spending an hour freaking out over the pressure of picking a location equal in coolness to them, I started making a little mental checklist of all the places I’ve been wanting to shoot lately. We hit almost all of them.
We started down on the east side of Atlanta in an abandoned high school. It took us a while to figure out how to get in, but we found an open window, channeled our inner gymnasts (I’m obviously Simone Byles) and climbed in. We started in the school gym and spent a while there talking, dancing, and awe-ing aloud at the coolness of the space. After we finished at the school (OUR FAVE room was the one with the blue/yellow window drapes – make sure you don’t miss that one!), we ran over to Cabbagetown and soaked up the adorable neighborhood and murals. We ended the shoot at the Jackson Street Bridge.
If I can just get real for just a minute, this photoshoot has me feeling so much gratitude. What a charmed life I have that I get to make a living spending time with THE ACTUAL best people, taking photos, and sharing their love stories? Cassie and Mike have such a sweet love. It’s laid back and unassuming and you can feel its warmth just by being near them.
Cassie and Mike, thank you for sharing your love with me. Thank you for the laughs and for being vulnerable. I facking love you both.

Let us share what we see
And oh the best it could be
Just you and I
And our hands they might age
And our bodies will change
But we’ll still be the same
As we are”
