Sometimes you book clients who have small, intimate weddings on a Thursday afternoon. Those clients almost always rock so much. I photographed Becca and Jessica’s wedding a few weeks ago at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and I left feeling so full of love. Both Jessica and Becca are so wonderfully unassuming and easy going; they’re the clients I leave hoping I’ll see again soon for dinner or drinks or netflix or anything else friends do together.
Having had one myself, I always get a little sentimental about same sex weddings. It’s only been legal for 22 months (as I’m writing this) for same sex couples to marry their partners. I still remember what it felt like to worry about not ever being able to marry my husband. So at these weddings where the ability to even be having it is so new, there seems to be this huge rush of joy all around the room when they’re finally married. It’s like it’s finally here, and we didn’t know if this day would come.
I’m so unbelievably happy for Becca and Jessica. I hope they both run off into their lives together barely able to contain their love and excitement for one another. Check out the photos below to see a bit into how their GORGEOUS wedding day went.
