Cherie and Ben were one of the few couples that I had not met before their wedding day. As I was driving out into the middle of (BEAUTIFUL) Georgia mountain nowhere, I was wondering if I would click with them. Typically I have quite a bit of back and forth as well as an engagement session to get to know my couples.
I shouldn’t have wasted any time worrying. These two were so great. My favorite thing about wedding photography is the connection – families and loved ones connected to make memories, to honor old traditions and to make new ones, and a couple lovers connecting themselves together for life. On that topic, I can relate to anyone, and I felt like I already knew Cherie and Ben just upon meeting them. I was so touched by them throughout the day. It’s not often that you meet and get to spend time with a couple who is so willing to vulnerable with each other and the loved ones around them – who are so open to the love they feel for each other.
It was one of the greatest pleasures of my career so far to make theses photos for Cherie and Ben. I hope they run off into their lives together, have a blast, and fall in love with each other more every day.
