When a client books me to photograph their wedding, I gift them an engagement shoot. Often, the time we spend together during an engagement shoot will be the first time in a long time you and your partner are spending time 100% captivated with each other. Engagement sessions are often spent running around to your favorite places and spaces with your favorite human and gives you incredible images to use for save the dates and to hang up in your home, and is a snapshot of an adorable time of your lives together.
When I met with Lisa and Robert, they decided they wanted MORE wedding photos! Let’s face it: wedding days are busy and the time we’ll have together for couples photos will most likely be short. I’m there capturing as much magic as I can, but the couples photos are often the most treasured time of the day and we have to work them into your wedding schedule.
I was SO EXCITED when Lisa and Robert said they wanted to get all dressed up in their wedding best and run around Atlanta for their engagement shoot! On wedding days I don’t have time to get to all the best Atlanta spots to capture the happy couple. Trust me, I tried looking for a Time Turner to live out my Hogwarts fantasy and they just don’t exist.
The blushing bride had a stunning bouquet designed, they got themselves all fancied up as if it were their big day, and and I could not be more THRILLED with the results. I had just been waiting to photograph some wedding-clad humans in old parking garages and down alleys and not worry about throwing off a wedding planners precise timeline.
Below are my favorite images from, what I am whimsically dubbing, an unWedding shoot, unBirthday from Alice in Wonderland style. Just call me your personal white rabbit…or…mad hatter.
Working with these two was a dream and I am so excited for their wedding day!
