A few weeks ago I got a phone call from a number I didn’t recognize, and though I normally screen photo calls from unrecognizable numbers, something told me I should answer. I answered while fumbling with the remote to turn down the volume so whomever was on the other side of the call wouldn’t wonder why Chuggington (my son’s favorite tv show) was BLASTING in the background. I’m so glad I answered because it was Yasser on the other side of the call, asking me if I shoot proposals. If you follow my social media at all you know that I’ve been putting out into the universe on a regular basis that I’ve been dying to shoot one, and here was my opportunity. After some planning and some last minute changes, we settled on a good plan to photograph his proposal to his then girlfriend, Camry, on top of Stone Mountain.
Tonight, I photographed their romantic, amazing wedding proposal up on top of Stone Mountain with Atlanta’s skyline in the background. It was so perfect. And in addition to the surprise of the proposal, he also surprised her with her parents being present, whom I had met and hidden ahead of time in a safe place before he and Camry arrived. It was like out of a fairytale or one of those Nicholas Sparks novels we all adore and eat up but never admit to loving.
Yasser and Camry, congrats. I can’t wait to watch you start your journey into marriage with each other. <3
